Poem for the Skies
You’ve forgotten every sky that stopped you, stopped everything but your breathing and your blood.
You’ve forgotten every sky
that stopped you,
stopped everything but your breathing
and your blood.
Cumulonimbus stacking high
beams from behind
crossing every which way
glorious alter of everwhere.
Altocumulus, nimbostratus, and altostratus:
thank you for your refractors
your pinks and purples
your affirmations it’s all ok.
Atmosphere and sun,
dance partners on the slopped earth floor,
light comprehending cloud
ALWAYS moving,
always MOVING.
